Why rent a Reconditioned / Used Stairlift?

  • The main reason is the obvious one because they can be rented for a reduced cost (reconditioned stairlifts are around £300-£1000 cheaper for a straight and up to £1500-2000 cheaper for reconditioned curved stairlifts)
  • Installation is often faster with reconditioned stairlifts. Reconditioned and used stairlifts are less likely to require a settling in period and should run smoothly from the outset.

What are the negatives to renting reconditioned stairlifts?

  • They do not always come with the same range of accessories or options as new stairlifts
  • Ongoing stairlift maintenance and stair lift repairs are more likely.
  • They rarely come in the exact colour/ spec that you wanted.

Why rent a straight stairlift from Island Stairlifts?

Renting is a preferred option due to outlay costs. Island Stairlifts rent units for short term or long term. The benefits include no added expense for maintenance and servicing. These are covered in under the rental fee.

What types of stairlift do we rent?

Island Stairlifts are able to supply a range of different makes and models of stairlift, new / used and straight. However specific makes and models cannot be guaranteed.

Our costs

We charge £350 for installation of a standard unit, plus a rental charge of £40 per month (less then £10 a week). This covers the cost of fitting and removing the stairlift. Short and long term rental is available.
